Tiger and Dragon - Sorrow

I've decided to draw a series of images showing my raw emotinal states, figuring on a pair of humanoids, a female tiger and a male dragon. When I intially drew this picture, shortly after Alex and I's break-up (perhaps 3, 4 months ago — I'm not even sure), I wasn't planning on a series... but it was the first, and it fits the design.

About the image itself... it was sloppily drawn with mechanical pencil in my notebook. But, when I transferred it to normal paper, I purposefully didn't clean up the linework — it was intended to be more abstract. I felt pretty much broken... and I wanted to convey to Alex how I felt, no matter what his reaction would be... and I wanted to make myself feel better. And largely this was a success.

It was colored with a variety of mediums, from Sharpie markers (the big fat ones) to watercolors, as well as ballpoint pens, paint pens, gel pens, colored pencils of several types... and I actually did it in one sitting. I was actually fairly proud of myself. The scan fails to do the picture justice, but I no longer have the original (Alex does).

And if this needs to be marked as adult, I fail to see why, but.. I guess anyone in the know can tell me.
